So I decided to put in Animal Crossing on Gamecube for old times sake.
Naturally the first thing I did was attempt to pull out the Master Sword.

I then went on to visit some of my neighbors. I remember being in love with Rosie in the GC version, so she was the first person I went to visit.

As I was passing through on my way to Nooks, I noticed these statues and remembered that you get one for paying off your house fully! Why didn’t they do that in the DS or Wii versions?
Clearly I either must be loaded out of my mind and this was the only game I played as a kid, or something sinister is afoot……

I miss this game, and despite the fact that I most likely did in fact cheat, I did spend a ridiculous amount of time on this game. I left myself a note on the board for my future self. Hopefully by the time I see it again it will have come true…
